The Widget™ iOS App

The Widget™ is the first iOS app I built independently. It lets users design and create their own clock widgets for the iPhone Home Screen. The idea came to me in 2024 after I 3D-printed an iPhone dock inspired by the Braun DN-40 alarm clock, which made me want a customizable clock widget to complete the setup. The interface draws inspiration from modern minimalist design and industrial instruments, with a number of subtle micro-interactions throughout the editor to make customization feel more tactile and enjoyable. This project was designed and developed entirely for fun, driven by my own interests rather than market demand. It’s available on the App Store with no in-app purchases.
